Boundaries: The Fish Creek area of Steamboat Springs is roughly bordered by Fish Creek Falls Road, Steamboat Blvd, Anglers Drive, and Lincoln Avenue.
The Neighborhood: The Fish Creek area is one of the more desirable places to live in Steamboat Springs for its location between the Steamboat ski mountain and downtown Steamboat Springs. Fish Creek is a great “locals” neighborhood close to downtown Steamboat Springs where lot sizes are larger and views are bigger, but you’ll find everything from entry level condos to multi-million dollar luxury homes.
Streets and Neighborhoods in Fish Creek include: Tamarack Drive, Mauna Kea Drive, Elkins Meadows, Fish Creek Falls Road, Steamboat Blvd, Sandhill Circle, Hillside Drive, Valverdant, Little Moon Trail, Longview Circle, Blue Sage Drive, Kelhi Ct, Harwig Circle, Apple and Cherry Drive, Tamarack Point, Mountain View Estates (Meadowbrook Circle), Anglers Drive (3+ acre lots), Eagles View Subdivision.
The Fish Creek area is close to Rita Valentine Park, the Rollingstone Ranch Golf Club and Fish Creek Falls, an impressive 283′ waterfall and hiking trails that’s one of the top attractions for visitors to the Steamboat area. Looking west, you’ll enjoy beautiful sunsets over Sleeping Giant. There is plenty of wildlife, so don’t be surprised if you see fox, elk, bear, and the occasional moose. The farther up Fish Creek Falls Rd you go, the better the views of Emerald Mtn, Howelson Hill, and Sleeping Giant. Spring Creek Trail connects the western border of the Fish Creek area with town. Hearty walkers and bikers find it’s an easy hike down but an uphill climb coming home.
